How to schedule 4 times more appointments or give your Reps an extra 5 weeks of sales productivity

Could you sell more if your Reps had 4 times the number of appointments? How about if Reps had an extra 5 weeks of selling time?

You’ve got 215 selling days in the year.  Too many of those 215 days are eaten up by non-selling (but necessary) tasks such as the tedious process of coordinating calendars and scheduling appointments.  In fact, without the right tools, your Reps are losing 28 days of selling time every year unnecessarily while making appointments.

Tungle.me scheduling software eliminates the normal back and forth of finding a time to meet; prevents double bookings (and with apology, going back to your prospect to reschedule); and it automatically adjusts for time zones eliminating the embarrassment of calling your prospect at the wrong time.  On the flip side, it also gives clients and prospects a quick and easy way to book time with your Reps and makes your sales staff more accessible to the people who want to hear about your products and services.

How to book 4 times the number of appointments:

It’s been estimated, that one meeting takes an average of 7 scheduling attempts (phone calls and/or emails) to book.  Each scheduling attempt takes approximately 3 minutes.  That means that on average, every appointment will take your Reps 21 minutes to schedule.

According to Tungle.me, their scheduling software reduces the number of attempts needed from 7 to less than 2 (1.6).  Each attempt still takes approximately 3 minutes. Therefore every meeting will take your Reps less than 5 minutes to schedule using Tungle.me.   Why not have them spend the same 21 minutes making 4 times the number of appointments than they were making before.

Let’s take a closer look at the math:

Standard appointment making Scenario: Scheduling 4 meetings per day.

# scheduling attempts per week (a) Amount of time required per week (b) # of meetings Scheduled per week (c)
150 7 ½ hrs 21

a)    30 meeting attempts each day = 150 meeting attempts each week

b)    150 attempts x 3 minutes each = 450 minutes per week (7.5 hours/week)

c)     150 attempts ÷ 7 = 21 meetings per week ( 7  attempts per meeting = 21 meetings)

Tungle.me appointment making Scenario: Scheduling 4 meetings per day.

# scheduling attempts per week (a) Amount of time required per week (b) # of meetings Scheduled per week (c)
150 7 ½ hrs 94

a)     30 meeting attempts each day = 150 meeting attempts each week

b)    150 attempts x 3 minute each = 450 minutes per week (7.5hrs/week)

c)     150 attempts ÷ 1.6 = 93.75 meetings per week ( 1.6  attempts per meeting = 94 meetings)

The 215 Principle: How to Give Reps an extra 28 days of selling

If you’re happy with Reps scheduling 4 meetings per day, then help them do it in 1/4th the time.  Then they can use the extra time for other key selling activities. In total, they would have 5 hrs and 54 minutes more each week than they did before using Tungle.me

Under the 215 Principle, we know that for every 2.5 min a day we can save our Reps, they gain 9 hrs of productivity or 1 full day over the course of the year. With the nearly 6 hours of time-savings each week that Tungle.me could provide, your reps can schedule the same number of appointments as they are today, and gain 28 days of time they didn’t have before.

I’m throwing a lot of numbers at you. But the bottom line is this. For very little cost – in fact no cost at all right now – you can help your Reps make 4 times the appointments they’re currently making in the same amount of time. Or help them make the same number of appointments and gain an additional 28 days of selling time each year.

Even if, as they say, “results vary” it’s not hard to imagine how you can increase your Reps’ productivity significantly.

The best part is that your clients and prospects don’t have to sign up or download anything, and it doesn’t matter what calendar they’re using – Tungle.me works across systems.
